Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Dr. Joseph A. Racanelli completed his postgraduate fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, one of only a few osteopathic plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowships in the world. A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) completes the same medical and surgical training as an MD, with additional training in musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Racanelli is board-certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Training alongside internationally recognized surgeons, he received advanced training across the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. His work has been recognized in Vanity Fair and by Top Doctors.
What distinguishes Dr. Racanelli's practice is not credentials alone, it is how the practice operates. Every surgery is performed by Dr. Racanelli personally.
